Welcome to Rainbow Birthing. By accessing or using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
Rainbow Birthing refers to Lucy Ross, the provider of the services described in these terms.
Client refers to anyone engaging in the services provided by Rainbow Birthing.
1. Services Offered
Rainbow Birthing provides emotional and practical support to individuals and families. My services include, but are not limited to:
Postnatal Support (emotional and practical)
3-Step Rewind Trauma Reprocessing
Elective Caesarean Birth Partner
2. Important Disclaimer: No Medical Advice or Medical Services
Rainbow Birthing provides support and guidance, but I do not offer medical advice, medical treatment, or clinical services of any kind.
I am not a medical professional, and my services do not replace care from a doctor, midwife, or any other healthcare provider.
I do not diagnose conditions, prescribe medication, perform medical procedures, or make decisions regarding medical care.
Any information provided by Rainbow Birthing is for general guidance only and should never be interpreted as medical advice. Clients must always consult their healthcare provider regarding medical concerns, treatment options, or decisions related to their pregnancy, birth and postnatal period.
By engaging in my services, you acknowledge and agree that all medical decisions remain solely between you and your healthcare provider. Rainbow Birthing is not responsible for any medical outcomes or consequences.
3. Booking and Payment
A non-refundable deposit of £80 is required at the time of booking 3 step rewind.
Full payment is required in advance when booking postnatal support sessions. The minimum required to book is two hours and the maximum in one day is four hours.
Services are confirmed only once full payment has been received.
4. Refund Policy
All payments made are non-refundable except in exceptional circumstances.
5. Code of Conduct
Clients agree to maintain respectful communication and provide a safe and appropriate environment for sessions.
Rainbow Birthing reserves the right to terminate services if a client engages in inappropriate, abusive, or unsafe behavior.
If services are terminated due to a breach of this agreement, no refund will be issued and the appropriate authorities may be informed.
6. Force Majeure (Unforeseen Circumstances)
Rainbow Birthing is not responsible for cancellations or service disruptions caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:
Illness or injury
Natural disasters or extreme weather
Public health emergencies
Travel restrictions or transport disruptions
In such cases, we will make every effort to reschedule or provide an alternative solution.
7. Digital Communication & Privacy
Rainbow Birthing communicates with clients via email, phone, and messaging apps. While we take reasonable measures to ensure privacy, we cannot guarantee absolute confidentiality in digital communications. Clients should:
Avoid sharing sensitive medical information through unsecured channels.
Understand that we will never share or sell their personal information.
8. Photography & Testimonials
We may request permission to use client testimonials or feedback for marketing purposes.
Any images, testimonials, or identifiable information will only be used with explicit written consent.
Clients have the right to withdraw consent at any time.
9. Session Duration & Cancellations
Session Validity: All booked postnatal support sessions must be used within 6 weeks of birth unless otherwise agreed.
Rescheduling: Clients must provide at least 72 hours/3 days notice to reschedule a session. This allows me to offer suitable alternative dates and organise my week. Failing to provide 72 hours notice to reschedule a session will result in no refund.
Late Arrivals: If a client is late, the session may still end at the originally scheduled time.
10. Limitation of Liability
By engaging our services, clients acknowledge and agree that:
Rainbow Birthing is not liable for any medical decisions, interventions, or outcomes.
Clients assume full responsibility for all decisions made before, during, and after birth.
Any information provided by Rainbow Birthing is for educational and support purposes only and is not a substitute for medical advice.
11. Confidentiality
All personal information shared with Rainbow Birthing is confidential and will not be disclosed to third parties without consent, except as required by law.
However, confidentiality may be broken without consent in the following circumstances:
If there is reason to believe that a client or another individual (including a child) is at risk of harm, abuse, or neglect.
If disclosure is required by law, court order, or safeguarding obligations.
In such cases, we will make every effort to inform the client before taking any action, where appropriate and safe to do so.
12. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
13. Changes to Terms and Conditions
Rainbow Birthing reserves the right to update or modify these terms at any time. Clients will be notified of significant changes. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
